Recently, a friend of mine underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy for breast cancer. I designed, crocheted and embellished a hat for her that is easy for her to wear with or without her wig. She especially likes this hat because it comes down further in back over her neck, and most of all, it is fanciful which makes her feel spunky and gorgeous during a time when one feels the least like feeling at all. I have added some new designs with a twist in hopes these hats will be enjoyed by women who have special needs or just want to be cool.
